Abstract

This paper discusses the responsibility of education in responding to natural disasters issues that occurred in the last ten years. Thereare three focus discussion in this paper are: (1) Why is it importanteducational innovation in the midst of global climate change?,(2) How does the educational innovation model that be relevantin responing the various natural disasters in this country, (3) Howdoes the process of curriculum innovation begins to contribute inpart to give an alternative solution for areas prone to disaster associo-cultural potential of each educational unit?. With a criticalanalysis of this paper finally concluded some important things:(1) Education was held not in empty space because it becomesa necessity curriculum innovations included in the deal with theissue of natural disasters by strengthening the awareness of theimportance of disaster mitigation, namely the efforts to reducedisaster risks, one of whom through awareness and capacitybuildingeffortsfacethethreatofnaturaldisasters,(2) Oneformofmitigation is the importance of trauma healing, namely minimizing trauma and post-disaster fear either for himself or another person;(3) Every teacher must be able to portray himself as the developerof the curriculum and as an innovator of curriculum so that eacheducational unit capable of formulating their own curriculum according to the potential of history, culture and geography of each(local genius).

Abstract

The activation of autonomy and decentralization has an effect to the system of educational institution management. At first,the management system has top down pattern, now it changesinto bottom up pattern. Formulation of the vision, mission,and objectives of educational institution have to formulatedproporsionally by stake holder of educational institution. Planningand implementation process as part of the management of educationhas an important role to achieve the vision, mission, and goals thathave been formulate. Tha paper discusses the process of planningand implementation “MBSP” in Islamic Education Unit X. Withqualitative methods, there in described three pilars in IslamicEducation Unit X, the are “MS”, “PAKEM”, adn “PSM”. Stagesof planning process is done sequence as the preparation procedure“RKS/M”. Implementation of comprehensive planning was donethrough various forums, cordination, syncronization, control, andevaluation.

Abstract

Nowadays people need a quality education, especially the schools that give a balance loads between religious and general education.This is because the parents’ awareness of the importance ofreligious education for their children was increasing, in order tocounteract the negative effects exhaled by globalization, especially the moral decadence and rampant cases of drugs among young people. It is a challenge and opportunity for Islamic institutions,especially the Islamic high school (Madrasah Aliyah), which beganto rise to become an excellent school. Here are four things thathave to be met by madrasah to be a leading educational institution:first, the implementation of curriculum strategies. Second, thedevelopment of management based on madrasah. Third, create asynergistic relationship between teachers and students. Fourth, thereorientation of the teaching system. The official recognition of theinstitution of madrasah as a subsystem of national education is its challenge to show that madrasah is one of competitive educational institutions that is acceptable to all people, especially to those whoare not familiar with madrasah. This study will attempt to explorethe strategy of Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Ulama Demak in theimplementation of curriculum to fulfill that expectation during academic year 2012/2013.

Abstract

Based on this research the factors driving perform marriage during the lecture are:1) In order to avoid promiscuity, 2) More motivatedto learn,3) avoid slander in society, 4) ease the burden of parents, 5)want to be independent 6) have found the perfect match,7) parentsstill help while study, 8) Draw closer to Allah SWT to run the Sunnahof the Prophet. Marriage during the lecture did not inhibit study,learning, academic achievement (IP value), but the activity in the organization on campus have started to be reduced. The married student more in order to continue to maintain the health to face campus activities and can organize and devote time to family andstudies, for the students who have not yet married:it is advisablefor those who are ready to get married, do not procrastinate tomarried, but must have the material and spiritual preparation thatmature. Abstract

Conflict in the world of education is seen as one of the weak points in the management of educational institutions. This perspectiveemerged due to the institution managers view conflict as somethingnegative and counterproductive. The conflict in the organization isdirectly proportional to the age of the organization, including one ofwhich is the educational institution. Beginning of the conflict can beborn of issues that could be considered trivial or simple. However,it is not uncommon to be a determinant of lifespan or future survival of an organization for the duration of time much longer. Therefore, need proper management to resolve the conflict.

Abstract

The loyal teamworks are a key of successful management of Islamic boarding school. That loyalty does not happen accidentally, butcaused by a clear vision and the goal congruence of the insiders.Teamworks require individual commitment by maintaininguniqueness of the individual and respect for differences. Consideringteamwork is an integral part of the management of Islamic boardingschool, so it is found that the loyalty to the kiai leadership is verystrong. Teamworks Islamic boarding school loyalty arises from kiaileadership who uses the model-collegial partners, the exemplaryand spiritual leadership. The essence of leadership is a test, amandate from God and man, and influencing teamworks, so a leadermust show an exemplary, inspiration, actuating, and humanizing.The targets of leadership are to build affection, to spread virtue,and to channel the Mercy of God.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to examine the relationship between Constructivist learning environments and academic achievementof Psychology among students. The hypotheses tested in thisresearch were: there were differences of academic achievementbetween students taught by constructivist learning environmentsand conventional learning environment. The instruments used inthis research were constructivist learning environments scale andconventional learning environment scale. The total of the samplewas 71 students taken from Tarbiyah Major Islamic education ofKudus State Islamic High School. Class A that used constructivistlearning environments and Class B that used conventional learningenvironments. The results of data analyses show that: there weresignificant differences between students of class A that usedconstructivist learning environments from Tarbiyah Major Islamiceducation of Kudus State Islamic High School and class B thatused conventional learning environments from Tarbiyah Major Islamic education of Kudus State Islamic High School on their academic achievement.

Abstract

Islamic Education subject (Pendidikan Agama Islam /PAI) at all levels of education geared toward learners realize that faithful,pious, and noble. To achieve this goal, we need to optimally PAI rolefunctionalization through revamping the curriculum and effectivelearning model and quality. PAI’s curriculum should be developedin a comprehensive manner, through three activities, namely : 1)strategic planning, 2) program planning, and 3) program deliveryplans. In addition, the implementation of the curriculum requiredan application-oriented method to value-oriented and in accordancewith the circumstances and character development-oriented studentsin learning subjects Islamic Education subject (Pendidikan AgamaIslam /PAI) itself.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explore, from students’ perspective, how students perceived the service quality in International IslamicUniversity Malaysia (IIUM). A phenomenological method wasused; it is a naturalistic approach to acquire information on students experience about the service quality that they are feelingthrough open-ended questioner, interviews and observations.The result reveals that students perceived the service quality indifferent ways. The study found that the university is performingfairly enough in term of physical facilities and academic staff, butin term of administration staffs less than students’ expectation. Thestudy recommends university’s management to give attention to thefollowing issues: to improve the quality of staffs, to improve the security guard in this campus and to reform or refine the office of CPS and Finance. Abstract

Muhammad Abduh was an Egyptian reformer who emphasized renewal thought or effort to respond to the challenges that comefrom the West and the modern world, chosen identifikatif approachis evidence for a creative and proactive stance in solving variousproblems of Muslims. With indentifikatif approach it uses,Muhammad Abduh be seen as a reformer who thought renewalcharacterized by or having typology of modernist-reformist. Agendalaunched by Muhammad Abduh in order to carry out its renewal is;purification, reform, reformulation and defense of Islam. MohammadAbduh spirit of renewal at this time , may need to be rethought asembryonic restoration of Egypt in general and Islamic education(al-Azhar) in particular, so that the later ending especially Islamiceducation in Indonesia as a base capable successor even struggle reform ideals of Muhammad Abduh. Who knows Qibla Thought advancement and progress of Islamic education can be switchedand started from Indonesia.
